Your family's support system while you are gone...
The JTC Family Support System is exactly what the name implies, support for both the inmate and his/her family during the period of his/her incarceration. The defendant and his family will face daily decisions without being able to communicate with each other. Unexpected situations and complications will occur without warning. A normal daily routine does not exist anymore. The inmate is forced into a situation in which he has absolutely no control. Simple things like calling home are not simple anymore. The inmate and his family feel isolated, lonely, detached, and helpless. There will be questions about mail, visits, telephone conversations, family emergencies, medical emergencies, health and safety issues, financial considerations, and a multitude of other questions that occur on a daily basis. The JTC Family Support System deals with all these questions and problems by providing a lifeline of communication directly to the family. Best news of all, it is totally free to all of our clients!
The JTC Family Support System provides real time answers to the family’s questions and solutions to the daily problems created by the spouse’s incarceration. The Family Support System was designed to eliminate as much worry and the accompanying frustrations as possible for both the inmate and his family. We provide the inmate and his family with 24/7 support with the knowledge, understanding, and resources to get everyone through this arduous time. Sometimes it just helps talking to someone who has already gone through the process.

No matter what you now think or what people may say, there is nothing easy about spending time in prison. The JTC Family Support System becomes your link with reality. The JTC Family Support System provides the highest level of communication and support available and consists of real time communication accessible to not only the incarcerated individual but also to the family of the incarcerated individual. When your incarcerated spouse, daughter, son, mother, father, or family member doesn't call you, there is a reason. It's usually not good. You can't find out, but we can. Call us; we are here for you 24/7!
The family cannot call the inmate and must wait for the inmate to call the family. But the family can call Jail Time Consulting. For various reasons the inmate may be out of touch with the family for long periods of time and will be unable to make telephone calls. The inmate may be in transit, in the Special Housing Unit, a.k.a., the SHU or HOLE. He may be out of minutes or he may have lost his telephone privileges due to an infraction of BOP policy. The family will have no idea what is going on and how long it will last. Remember, if he is in the SHU he will only be able to make a 15 minute call once a week (Administrative Detention) or once a month (Disciplinary Segregation). This is where the JTC Family Support System is so important. It is the family's lifeline of communication.
The JTC Family Support System is available to all clients and their families free of charge. We are there when you need us, 24/7!
